La planted walk, also known as Green belt (the green corridor), is an elevated park that crosses the entire 12e arrondissements of Paris for its length of 4,5 km. It is located in the Bercy-Gare de Lyon district.
The park borrowed the route of an old railway line closed in 1969, which since 1859 connected the Place de la Bastille to Varenne-Saint-Maur.
The park was created by Jacques and Philippe Mathieux Vergely and opened in 1993.
Start behind theOpera Bastille and flows along Avenue Daumesnil and the Jardin de Reuilly: this stretch is known as the famous Arts Viaduct. The Allée Vivaldi stretch is the commercial area. It then continues through tunnels and viaducts and ends at Porte Dorée.
Very interesting during the journey are the various types of vegetation that you encounter such as eg. hazelnut trees, lime trees, climbing plants, roses, etc ...

The entrance to the Plantée promenade is located at 44 rue de Lyon. There are stairs next to the parking entrance.
How to reach us
The nearest metro station to the entrance is Bastille where lines 1, 5 and 8 pass. The closest metro to the exit is Porte Dorée where line 8 passes.
Working Time
It is open every day from 8 (9 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays) to 17:30 in winter and until 21:30 in summer.

Disabled access
It is only accessible for some sections. There are two entrances with elevators: one is located on rue Jacques Hillairet and the other for the Surcouf elevator.
